I’m wondering how you generated this hypothesis in photo aesthetics of meals, does it could be other factors except four hypothetical reasons you listed, like the amount of reviews, rating points, delivery distance between potential customers and the restaurant, etc. I’m not in this position yet but want to transition to it, I came from RedNote, thanks for your professional shares, your content is really easy to be read and inspiring❤️
So when I generated this hypothesis, I’m picking short term factors that I can address quickly. I’d assume that other factors have been eliminated or are outside of my control (ie being output metrics or requiring sophisticated ENG work)
Thanks for subscribing on both platforms! It could definitely be other factors. The example here is just a plausible factor but not the only one. You can break it down by so many areas including the ones you listed. Differentiating between input and output metrics are really important. For example, good menu photo is an input factor as it can driver higher conversion. The output metric here is conversion or sales volume.

If you are interviewing, do try to be comprehensive and let them know your assumptions and scope under consideration for clarity
